The Secret Radio is an indie rock band that originally formed in New York City in 2006. Known for their melodic, emotionally resonant sound, the group played live at iconic NYC venues for five years before parting ways. The original lineup featured Damian Fowler(vocals, guitar, piano), Bebbo (guitars), JungSang Yoo (bass), Julien Davoust (drums), and Jane Kittredge (violin). Though some tracks were recorded, many remained unfinished—stored on songwriter Damian Fowler’s hard drive. During the pandemic, Fowler reunited with guitarist Bebbo and producer/pianist Asen Doykin to revive and rework these songs, blending original takes with new instrumental layers. Contributions from session musicians and longtime collaborators brought fresh energy to the project. In 2025, the band officially adopted the name The Secret Radio and released their debut studio album, Shortwave. With its nostalgic yet cinematic sound, Shortwave captures the band’s unique evolution and reintroduces their music to a new generation of indie rock fans.
